PETER PETRINA

Peter Petrina has over 20 years of experience working in and with the private club industry. He holds a BS in Hospitality Management from Cornell University (School of Hotel Administration) and an MBA from Cornell University (The Johnson Graduate School of Management).
Peter discovered his passion for the club industry early on, while in college, after he completed his first internship with Wykagyl Country Club (New Rochelle, NY), which was then followed by another at Mantoloking Yacht Club (Mantoloking, NJ) the following year. Upon graduating from Cornell, Peter accepted the Asst. Manager position with Ansley Golf Club (Atlanta, GA). From there he took the Club Manager position with Hop Meadow CC (Simsbury, CT) after which he stepped up to the GM / COO position with Dellwood Country Club (New City, NY) followed by Cedar Hill Country Club (Livingston, NJ). Peter was the youngest GM / COO in the US when he was entrusted the GM position by Dellwood CC and one of the youngest CMAA professionals to earn the CCM designation.
In 2001 he traded club operations for consulting services when he started his own hospitality consulting firm specialized in staffing strategies for private clubs. Since 2001 Peter has worked with numerous private clubs all across the US conducting thousands of searches for international candidates.
In addition to US clients, Peter works and consults with international clients in Scotland, Italy, Cape Verde and Romania on hospitality projects as well as marketing / business development ventures. When it comes to club operations, Peter is a specialist in quality of service theories and menu profitability analysis, both being areas in which he has conducted substantial research. Peter has taught seminars and held presentations on menu profitability and superlative customer service strategies and continues to look for ways to help private clubs improve their customer service.
